Iran’s peaceful nuclear program to strengthen country’s independence: Larijani

Tehran : Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani by referring to the efforts of a number of countries to prevent Iran from getting access to peaceful nuclear technology said Iran is trying to strengthen its independence through its peaceful nuclear energy program.

According to the report of Majlis Media Department on Saturday, Larijani made the remarks in meeting with head of Finnish parliament research center Kimou Kilyonen and his accompanying delegation here.

He added, “Iranian nation with their deep civilization background is ready for cooperation with other countries, especially European Union, to solve international and regional problems.”

Referring to his recent visit to Finland and negotiation with the senior officials of the country, Larijani called exchanging parliamentary delegations between the two countries “Important” for expansion of ties in all fields.

Kilyonen, for his part, said, “History has witnessed Iran’s deep and old civilization.”
He expressed Finnish parliament readiness to expand parliamentary ties with Iran’s Majlis.

The Finnish MP said the only way to remove existing misunderstandings is reciprocal visits adding his trip to Iran is in this direction.

Concerning globalization theory, Kilyonen said the theory is not something new and the Islamic civilization had presented the theory for the first time in the world.

He concluded Finland as an active member of EU is fully ready to work for any kind of cooperation between EU and Tehran.
