Bali quit after Star News channel Saturday showed him dancing and drinking with call girls at a party in Dharamsala town that his friends had organised Friday on his birthday.

"I demand a judicial inquiry by a sitting high court judge so that my conduct in the entire incident may be examined," Bali told media persons here Sunday.

"I was a guest at the party which I attended for five minutes along with my wife, son and daughter among others," he said.

"It is highly objectionable that the channel is referring to the 'minister' (Bali) was with call girls'. And that I danced and drank with them," he said.

"I just had a glass of water and said cheers to my friends and left soon after. The party was organised by some of my NRI friends," Bali added.

Until Saturday Bali was seen as one of the most powerful ministers in the Congress-led Virbhadra Singh government as he held two important portfolios of tourism and transport.
