Peshawar : Pakistani security forces, backed by gunship helicopters and artillery, on Monday shelled positions of suspected militants, killing 15 militants and injuring six others, the army said.
A Spokesman for the army said that 11 miscreants were killed in Charbagh area of restive Swat valley when the Security Forces targeted their positions.
The militants, equipped with lethal arms were patrolling in the area, when they came under attack, he said.
“Five miscreants’ vehicles were also destroyed”. The spokesman said two miscreants were killed and four wounded in Khawzakhel area of Swat.
Two miscreants were killed at Chuprial while two sustained critical injures, the spokesman said.
One vehicle of the militants’ was destroyed when the security forces pounded it. He said that no incident of casualty has been reported on the part of security forces.
