Chennai : Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Co posted a net loss of Rs.9.58 million (Rs.95.8 lakh) on sales of Rs.8.52 billion (Rs.852 crore) for the quarter ended Dec 31, it announced Thursday.
In the corresponding period last year, it had posted a net profit of Rs.58.3 million (Rs.5.83 crore) on sales of Rs.8.75 billion (Rs.875 crore).
According to the company, motorcycle sales for the period under review stood at 14.5 million units, compared to 17.6 million units in the corresponding period the previous year, while scooters registered sales of 5.7 million in comparison to 6.5 million units in the corresponding quarter the previous year.
