Srinagar : The third day of assembly session witnessed walkout and boycotts by the opposition National Conference and Panthers Party, while three MLAs, including one of ruling Peoples Democratic Party, were evicted out of the House for disrupting the proceedings.
Though the House was not adjourned like the preceding days, the lone member of BJP, Panthers Party MLA Balwant Singh and member of the ruling coalition Sartaj Madni were evicted out, while National Conference MLAs staged a walkout during the proceedings of the House.
As soon as the Deputy Speaker Muhammad Akbar Lone started the proceedings of the House, BJP MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma stood up and sought permission to let him raise the matter concerning people of his constituency.
After being denied the permission, Sharma started protesting forcing the speaker to send him out. The Speaker directed the marshals to take the member out of the House.
During Zero hour, NPP MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia raised the issue of revocation of suspension of Harsh Dev Singh. He was soon joined by his party colleague Faqir Nath
The members were not allowed and were asked by Deputy Speaker to take their seats.
PDP MLA Sartaj Madni was evicted out of the House when he interrupted Thakur Puran Singh, MLA Darhal during his speech.
In the meanwhile NC MLAs objected by saying that martial law has been imposed in the Assembly. On their intervention Deputy Speaker allowed Madni to join the House.
As Speaker Tara Chand took his seat, Panthers Party MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia again raised the matter of revocation of suspension of party MLA Harsh Dev Singh. As Speaker did not pay any heed to his repeated protests, he tried to rush to the well.
But Speaker reminded him that during all party meet, they had agreed not to rush to the well of the Assembly.
On this Mankotia took his seat but continued with his protest.
Speaker asked the marshals to throw him out of the Assembly hall. Panthers Party MLAs Faqir Nath and Yashpal Kundal also joined the protest and were also evicted out of Assembly.
Objecting to Speaker’s behaviour ten NC MLAs including Ali Muhammad Sagar, Nazir Gurezi, Qaiser Jamsheed Lone, Mubarak Gul, and Mushtaq Bukhari walked out of the House.
