New Delhi : The Lok Sabha was adjourned briefly for 20 minutes Thursday morning following a disruption by MPs from various parties over different issues.
The speaker adjourned the house till 12.30 p.m. after members raised issues pertaining to violence in Agra and police brutality in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district.
Soon after zero hour began, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MPs were out of their seats highlighting the Bhagalpur incident while Samajwadi Party members wanted to raise the Agra violence issue.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs were also on their seats alleging that RJD was trying to communalise the Bhagapur issue, where a youth was badly thrashed by a mob for allegedly snatching a woman’s gold chain Monday. Two policemen later dragged the alleged snatcher over a rough road tied to the back of a motorcycle.
The members from the Left parties were also standing and seeking the speaker’s response on Indian Ambassador to US Ronen Sen’s explanation to parliament over his alleged remarks on MPs who were opposing the India=US nuclear deal.
