Qinghai (China) : The toll in a devastating earthquake in northwest China has risen to 1,484 Saturday, Xinhua reported.
Some 300 people were still missing since Wednesday’s 7.1 magnitude quake in Qinghai province.
The epicentre was in the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yushu. About 12,000 people were injured, some 1,300 seriously, in the quake, a spokesman for the rescue headquarters said.
