Sergio Adrian Hernandez was killed Monday at the Ciudad Juarez-El Paso border crossing.

The teenager’s relatives allege that he was only trying to peek into the US side when he was shot and killed by US Border Patrol agents.

The agents chased Hernandez and fired two shots at him, relatives said.

The death occurred a week after a Mexican died at a US hospital after being beaten by US agents.

Illegal immigration is one of the most contentious bilateral issues, with deportations and voluntary repatriations of Mexicans from the US numbering in hundreds of thousands every year.
