Govt favours industrial revolution in J&K: Aijaz Khan

Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Minister of State for Higher and Technical Education Aijaz Ahmad Khan underscored the need to create awareness among youth regarding setting up of industrial units in the state. However, for healthy industrialization strong will of entrepreneurs is imperative, he added.

Khan was addressing a 2-day workshop organized by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute Government of India in collaboration with Kashmir Government Polytechnic College Gogji Bagh Srinagar here today.

The Minister exhorted the young students to prepare mentally and physically to revolutionize industrial growth in the state by setting up of industries on large scale. “There are vast avenues of setting up of industrial units in agriculture, horticulture, fruit processing, food processing, cement manufacturing, wood and leather sectors” he said.

Khan hoped that young entrepreneurs would get maximum benefit of the workshop and sharpen their skills.

Among others, Director Technical Education Syed Mohammad Fazullah, Deputy Director Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Institute Government of India, I. J. Khushu were present.
