Peace rallies organised in Nanded

Nanded: Ahead of Ayodhya verdict to be pronounced by the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court on September 30, various peace rallies were organised by all communities in Nanded, Maharashtra on September 28. To maintain and communal harmony peace rallies were organised in different parts of Nanded.

On Tuesday morning at 10:30 peace rally organised by Hindu and Muslim communities started from Old Mondha area of Nanded city. This peace rally passed through many sensitive areas like Tower area, MG Road, Habib Talkies, Barki Chowk, Manyar Galli, Junaganj, Mansurkhan Haweli, Rangar Galli, and Sarafa, and ended at Barki Chowk. In this rally assistant SP Pramjeetsingh Dahiya was present along with other personalities of both communities.

The second rally was organised in Shivaji Nagar police station area which started from Tower area and ended at ITI Chowk. In this peace rally Harshad Shah, Shobha Waghmare, Corporator Munna Abbas, Feroz Lala and other members of both communities were present. At 9 in the night all communities peace meeting cum Eid Milap programme was organised in Itwara area. In this meeting more than 1000 people of both communities were present. Police officers and important personalities of both communities addressed this meeting and appealed to people to maintain peace and harmony in Nanded town and district.
