New Delhi : Rajya Sabha member and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s daughter, Kanimozhi said that she will face whatever the court decides Friday when she appears as an accused in the 2G spectrum case.
“We have to face whatever the courts decide and I don’t want to speculate… let’s wait and see what happens tomorrow,” Kanimozhi told NDTV here Thursday.
She arrived in Delhi to appear before the court after being named a co-conspirator in the second charge sheet filed by Central Bureau of Investigation.
“We have to face everything legally… we cannot run away from things like the opposition leader in Tamil Nadu does. We have to respect the court. We have to face it… I can’t keep running away,” she said.
In an interview to CNN-IBN TV channel, she also said she will not apply for anticipatory bail.
On April 25, the CBI named Kanimozhi co-accused in the case involving the award of second generation (2G) phone spectrum.
The supplementary charge sheet, the second thus far, filed by the probe agency also named as co-accused Sharad Kumar of Kalaignar TV, Karim Morani of Cineyug Films, and Asif Balwa and Rajiv B. Agarwal of Kusegaon Realty.
