Bhopal: Even though Congress leader Digvijay Singh has strongly criticised yoga guru Baba Ramdev on many occasions, another Congress leader, union Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath Monday said that he supports the yogi’s fight against corruption.
Ramdev, who began his Swabhiman Yatra — a statewide march, Sunday from Baitul in Madhya Pradesh, arrived in Chindwara district, Kamal Nath’s constituency, Sunday.
The minister met him, took yoga lessons and said he has joined Patanjali Yogpith, the institution for yoga science that Ramdev launched in Hardwar.
Nath also announced that he is with the yoga guru in his fight against corruption.
“Today, the biggest challenge, be it in Chindwara or Madhya Pradesh or the country at large, is corruption. Baba Ramdev is fighting against corruption and I am with him in his fight against it,” Kamal Nath said on the occasion.
Ramdev said his Swabhiman Yatra would cover 11 districts of Madhya Pradesh and will end June 1.
He has announced a fast against corruption from June 4.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with his wife Sadhna Singh had participated in the yoga session by Ramdev Sunday while launching his state-wide march.
Congress general secretary and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh had attacked Ramdev on several occasions when the guru criticised the union government over black money stashed in foreign banks.
