Kolkata: Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee Saturday said more meetings are lined up on the drafting of the anti-graft Lokpal bill as the issue is still in the process of discussion.
“We are discussing. It’s in the process of discussion. Six meetings have taken place. There will be a couple of more meetings,” said Mukherjee while talking to reporters in Kolkata.
A 10-member joint drafting committee, which includes both government ministers and civil society activists, was formed on the bill after reformer Anna Hazare went on a 97-hour fast in New Delhi in April demanding a stringent anti-graft law.
