Lucknow : A passenger train rammed into a stationary train barely 100 metres from the Allahabad railway station Thursday evening. While the guard suffered minor injuries, there were no casualties.
“The Howrah-bound Ujjain-Howrah Express hit the Pune-Darbhanga Express from behind, crushing the guard’s cabin around 8.30 p.m. However, no casualty occurred essentially on account of the very slow speed of the train,” a spokesman of the North Central Railway told IANS from Allahabad.
The guard of the stationary train was treated for injuries.
