At the main peace protest venue, Budha Talab, in the city, Anna supporters burst crackers and raised slogans for Anna’s victory as the TV channels flashed news that the Lok Sabha had agreed to Anna’s three main demands.

“It’s power of people and an apprehension that Anna’s movement can turn into a much more stronger and massive movement in villages and cities if Anna’s demands were overlooked, forced Members of the Parliament cutting across party line to back up Anna’s demand,” a protester said amid noisy celebrations in heart of the city that was shut down in support of Anna Saturday.

Reports from other cities of the state including Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh, Jagdalpur and Bhilai said people came out from their houses in celebration and burst crackers.
