Chennai : The top two seeds in boys singles, Vishwesha Sinha of Punjab and Vinod Gowda of Karnataka, made their exit from the Adidas-MCC National junior clay court tennis championships here Thursday.
Suraj R. Prabodh of Karnataka knocked out top seed Sinha 7-5, 6-3, while Delhi’s Garvit Batra defeated Gowda 6-3, 6-3, en route to the semi-finals where the two winners face each other.
In the other two quarter-finals, local challenger Mohit Mayur Jayaprakash beat Andhra’s A.K. Parthasarathy 7-6 (6), 7-5, and Rishab Agarwal (AP) defeated R. Vigneshwaran (TN) 6-1, 6-1.
