Muslim organizations in Mumbai condemn Delhi blast

Mumbai: After the blast in Delhi High court, that killed 11 and injured nearly 76 people, security has been beefed up in the maximum city of Mumbai which is celebrating ten days Ganeshotsav that invites thousand of devotees from all over the country.

On the other hand different, Muslim organizations in Mumbai, have condemned the blast in Delhi High Court and have called for maintaining peace and communal harmony.

“We denounce the blast that killed innocent people. We also demand from the Delhi government to nab the culprits at the earliest and punish them severely,” said Mustaqeem Ahsan Azmi, president of Jamiatul Ulema, Maharashtra.

All India Ulema Council issued a press statement condemning the blast and demanded fair investigation. “Investigation should be fair and it shouldn’t be not on predetermined lines,” says the statement.

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Maharashtra also expressed its concern about bomb blasts in the country happening at regular intervals. Criticizing the failure of intelligence and security agencies, general secretary of Maharashtra JIH, Aslam Gazi said, “Can’t we stop this kind of attack and provide security to the common man.”

Ghazi appealed for maintaining peace and communal harmony in the country.
