Party chief Bhim Singh, in a meeting with the prime minister, strongly pleaded that the state needed to be “reorganized by forging a workable confederation of the three regions namely Ladakh, Kashmir Valley and Jammu province”, said a party statement here.

He contended that “separation of legislative, administrative and financial fields for each region is the only way out for the mutual trust and equitable development of each region”.

He also urged the prime minister to convene a meeting of the representatives of the state’s political parties with a view to work out a consensus on each issue, the release said.

The release, however, did not mention what was the prime minister’s response to Bhim Singh’s demands.

The Panthers Party has three members in the 87-member legislative assembly.
