New Delhi : The news that Yuvraj Singh has a lung tumour came as a shock to hundreds of his followers but the popular Indian cricketer has assured his fans that he is “absolutely fine” and will resume training soon.
“Overwhelmed with your love and support. I am absolutely fine, just need to get match fitness and will be back soon,” Yuvraj tweeted Saturday.
In an earlier post, Yuvraj said he was in a good state and needed to improve upon his stamina.
“Need some more time to regain 100 percent fitness. It is nothing serious and I need to build up the lost stamina. Look forward to finish the year on a healthy note.”
Yuvraj’s mother Shabnam Singh Saturday stunned the country by revealing that his son had a “golf-ball size lump over his left lung.”
“Detailed scanning and biopsy reports indicated that the tumour is non-malignant and non-threatening and can be treated through proper medication and therapy,” she said.
Yuvraj was not considered for the third Test against West Indies in Mumbai and has not been picked for the five match one-day series starting Tuesday.
