Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad has decided to provide coaching to the Muslim aspirants for the UPSC examinations for civil services. The University’s civil services coaching academy is offering coaching for minorities, especially for Muslim women for the admission into all India services, at its campus in Gachibowli.
The coaching program is for the duration of five months starting from the second week of January 2012. A total of 100 seats will be available for the entry into academy, out of which 40 seats are reserved for women candidates.
Residential facility will be provided to the women candidates to encourage the participation of Muslim women in the examinations. An applicant had to pay registration fee of Rs 500, library fee Rs 800, caution deposit Rs 1000, total fee will be Rs 2,300, which is far less than when compared to the private institutes which will take a minimum of Rs 50,000 fess for five months coaching. The university decided to provide stipend of Rs 2000 per month to 20 meritorious students to encourage there participation.
The last date of filling of application form is 12th Dec. 2011, a test and interview will be held at 23rd Dec for the admission into the academy and results will be announced on 30th Dec.
The authorities of the MANUU has promised that the coaching of the students will be done by the best faculty in the university campus, and extra faculty will be called in from outside the university according to there excellence in respective fields.
MANUU is a central Govt university which had started this coaching academy on the orders of the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) on the basis of recommendation by Sachar Committee which had shown concerned about the less participation of the Muslims in the administration. A.P state government too has promised to set up I.A.S study circles in Hyderabad and around the state for the minority students in the upcoming year.
