30 students of AMU Urdu Dept qualify NET/JRF

Aligarh: Some 30 students from the Department of Urdu, Aligarh Muslim University have qualified qualifying the NET and JRF examination of University Grants Commission. Officiating Chairman of Urdu Department, Dr. Syed Mohammad Hashim has expressed happiness over the success. Nineteen students were selected for JRF while eleven passed NET.

According to Zeeshan Ahmad, Officiating Public Relations Officer, AMU, this is the first time in the history of AMU that so many students of a single department have cleared the prestigious academic exam. Many among the successful are girl students.

Dr. Hashim said that success of such a large number of students has brought laurels not only to the Urdu Department but University as well.

Former Chairman of Urdu Department and Dean, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Qazi Afzal Husain has congratulated the students and wished them a very bright future.
