Beijing : As many as 70 percent of Chinese felt happy this year, a survey showed.
The survey of Chinese family happiness was carried out through a sample of over 10,000 people across China, online as well as through interviews in rural areas.
Physical and mental health, relationship with parents, and the family’s economic condition were the main considerations for happiness. Well-educated married women in their late 20s were the happiest, China Daily reported citing chinanews.com.
Zhang Hanxiang, a population expert, said a major change in society was that more people judged their happiness on the basis of relationships and not money.
Rural families were happier than those staying in cities, the survey showed.
The important factors were happy marriage, health, children and owning a home.
