Kolkata : Bengal Shristi Infrastructure Development Ltd. Thursday said it is planning to set up an integrated logistics hub and warehouse facility in West Bengal’s Burdwan district, with a total investment of Rs.80 crore to Rs.90 crore.
Located on 24 acres at Raniganj, a warehouse and logistics facility was already built with an investment of Rs.45-50 crore.
The company, promoted jointly by Asansol Durgapur Development Authority and Shristi Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, is also looking to add another 2l sq ft warehouse, a 60-room hotel, retail chains and a petrol pump.
The total project investment would be Rs.80 crore to Rs.90 crore and is expected to be completed within the next two years.
“With airport projects and modernisation of IISCO steel plant, we are expecting economic activity to take off in the region. The objective is to lower traffic congestion and build infrastructure in order to facilitate the growth of more business in the region,” Sunil Jha, CEO of Bengal Shristi Infrastructure Development, said here.
Some major clients, which have already taken up warehouse space, are LG, Asian Paints, Crompton Greaves, and Adani Wilmer.
