New Delhi: A court here Monday remanded to 10 days Delhi Police custody two suspected operatives of Indian Mujahideen terror group for their alleged involvement in reviving the banned outfit.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vinod Yadav allowed th police plea seeking custody of Kafil Akhtar and Kamal Hasan. The two were presented in court by police from Bangalore after a production warrant was issued against them last month.
Hasan was arrested from Kolkata in April and Akhtar was taken into custody from Darbhanga in Bihar in May in connection with the blast outside M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore two years ago. They were lodged in a Bangalore jail.
The accused were required for interrogation on their alleged role in providing logistics to other accused involved in various bomb blasts and shootings, including the 2010 firing near Jama Masjid here. They were also alleged to have involved in a bid to revive the group.
