IHO, Simplilearn and Skanray bag TiE awards

New Delhi : Three Indian companies — Indian Health Organisation (IHO), Simplilearn and Skanray — have been chosen out of 100 entrepreneurial entities for the TiE-Lumis Partners Excellence Awards.

IHO, a Delhi-based healthcare card provider, has enlisted thousands of established medical specialists to build an accessible and affordable medical referral network in 23 cities across the country.

Its Preventive Healthcare plan offers services of premium hospitals, lab and other healthcare services at affordable rates.

IHO founder-director Visham Sikand received the award on behalf of his company, according to a TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) statement Friday.

Simplilearn.com, a Bangalore-based startup offering online education and training for professional certification, has trained over 35,000 people across 135 countries.

It delivers training through a unique online and offline delivery platform in addition to conducting over 300 classroom training sessions each month.

Funding from IndoUS Venture Partners (IUVP) will enable the website to double the number of programmes over the next few years.

Krishna Kumar, founder of Simplilearn.com, received the award.

Skanray, a Mysore-based medical equipment manufacturer, specialises in high frequency X-ray imaging systems, critical care devices and primary healthcare and telemedicine- compatible devices of international quality.

It provides high performance at affordable prices to the rural population by combining the latest in technology with design simplicity and innovation for efficient patient care.

Skanray products comply with international quality and safety standards. Company’s managing director Vishwaprasad Alva picked up the award.

The jury for the TiE Lumis Awards included TiE Delhi Charter members — Equitigro chairman Rohtash Mal, TiE Entrepreneurship Nurturing Programme chair Subinder Khurana, Cyber Media chairman Pradeep Gupta and Lumis Partners’ managing partner Sandeep Sinha.

TiE, founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley, by a group of entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals rooted in India, has over 13,000 members and over 2,500 charter members in 61 chapters across 15 countries.
