New Delhi: Depressed over being accused in his brother’s mysterious death, a 40-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself in a government hospital here, police said Thursday.
No suicide note has been found.
“Rakesh was found hanging by a staff member in Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in east Delhi Thursday morning,” said a senior police officer.
According to police, Rakesh’s younger brother Mahesh died in mysterious circumstances Tuesday in their flat in the hospital premises. They were living in the flat for hospital employees since Rakesh’s wife Meena worked in the hospital.
Family members and relatives had accused Rakesh for his brother’s death.
Rakesh often quarrelled with his wife. Since Mahesh always supported his sister-in-law, Rakesh also had arguments with him as well, the officer said.
“Rakesh might have committed suicide as his relatives were accusing him for his brother’s death. But the exact cause is not ascertained,” added the officer.
