Hyderabad: Speaking for the first time after creating national controversy by his alleged ‘hate’ speeches, Akbaruddin Owaisi in Andhra Pradesh State Assembly charged Congress Government and Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy as communal and intolerant towards opposition.

In his old style of emotional outburst, Akbaruddin Owaisi said after Majlis-e-Itehadul Muslimeen withdrawn support from the Congress, MIM leaders especially Owaisi brothers became a soft target. Addressing Chief Minister directly in the assembly Owaisi said, “Book me in as many cases as you want, but you cannot bow me down. I won’t bow my head in front of your chair even if you hang me to death.”

Making sensational allegations against Congress Government, Akabruddin Owaisi alleged that the Congress Government used the service of an IT company from Mumbai to make his speeches given at Nirmal and Nizamabad town viral on the social media and national media. He even claimed that Chief Minister was aware of all this operation. Owaisi also claimed that he have all the necessary documents to prove his charges on Congress Government.

Speaking sarcastically Akbaruddin Owaisi said, “Chief Minister thought by this operation of presenting my speeches as hates speeches by way of moulding and editing it they could defame us. But MIM and especially I have become so popular even nationally that all the credit goes to Congress. You can judge my recent grown popularity in the upcoming state elections when we will increase our seats tally.”

Talking more about his alleged hate speech, Owaisi said, “If some people and Congress Government think my speeches were hate mongering, then the best way to response on my speeches would be to implement Sachar committee and Ranganath Mishra commission recommendations.”

Akbaruddin Owaisi in his long speech continued to target Congress Government by terming it bias towards Muslims. He also gave the reference of harassment of Muslim youths after Dilsuknagar blasts, and arresting of Muslim youths after every communal clashes, he gave the reference of recent arrests of 46 Muslim youths from Mominpet Mandal after a communal skirmish.

Owaisi also criticized Rs. 10 billion sanctioned budget for minorities welfare terming it insufficient and just 0.68% of the total budget whereas minority population in the state is more than 12%.

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy who was quietly listing to all the allegations leveled against him have to answer Akbaruddin Owaisi when the later comments on two Reddy brother from Congress party going to jail next year sparked uproar in the house.

Replying to Owaisi’s allegations, Chief Minister said Akbaruddin Owaisi’s matter of hate speeches are sub judice so he cannot comment on it. But KK Reddy said he never interfered in the procedure of law, and even in the case of Akbaruddin speeches law took its own course.

CM also refuted all the allegations of utilizing services of IT Company to make Akbar’s speeches viral. Reddy also added that he respects Owaisi brothers and have no personal grudge against them, and he never used police for any political vendetta.

Ending his reply chief minister Reddy told Owaisi, “Friend I respect you, but I am not like the one, which you are trying to portray me into.”
