Lucknow: The University Grant Commission (UGC) has released Rs. 2.50 crore to the Khwaja Muinuddin Chishti (KMC) Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University for construction of library and computer centre.
Giving this information, the Vice Chancellor of the KMC University, Dr. Anis Ansari IAS (Retd.) said here today that under the scheme of giving grant in lump sum, UGC had sanctioned Rs. 05 crore in November, 2011, the first installment of which had now been released.
He said that construction of library and computer centre would cost about Rs. 20 crore. The state government had already released money matching to the amount of Rs. 05 crore sanctioned by UGC, he added.
