Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh will present the 2014-15 budget in the assembly Saturday.

Sources said he could announce interest-free loans for farmers and a series of subsidies for various sectors promised prior to the assembly elections held in November last year.

The budget could see an increase in allocation for the construction sector. The government may also propose allotment of funds for several new welfare and development schemes to spur growth.

This will be the first budget of the Raman Singh-headed Bharatiya Janata Party after it retained power in the assembly elections held in November 2013.

Government officials say the annual outlay of Chhattisgarh could be Rs.44,000 crore.
