New Delhi : The AAP Sunday accused the Delhi government of not spending more than half the money earmarked for developmental projects in Delhi during the current fiscal.
“The people of Delhi have been kept deprived of their rights due to a conspiracy hatched by the Delhi administration under directions from the BJP, which wanted this money to be kept unspent till the last moment, so that its leaders could organise foundation stone-laying ceremonies to fool the people,” the Aam Aadmi Party said in a statement.
The Delhi government is currently under president’s rule and being run by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung.
“Can the Delhi administration deny that on Nov 17, the chief secretary had convened a meeting of all secretaries and directed them to ensure foundation stone-laying ceremonies of some projects quickly?
“Was this not done to give the BJP an unfair advantage by doing these functions to fool the people,” AAP asked.
