Beirut : Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri has postponed to Feb 11 the parliament session to elect the republic’s new president.
A statement issued by the secretariat of the House Sunday announced the postponement of the session which was scheduled for Monday.
The postponment followed a private meeting between Berri and Secretary-General of the Arab League Amr Moussa who had just arrived from Damascus where he met a number of Syrian officials.
The postponemnt is the 13th since the political crisis erupted in Lebanon.
