As Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is on his two-day visit to Varanasi, the very repercussion of his visit was faced by two Muslim sisters.
On Friday morning, when Yogi was yet to arrive in Varanasi, Alina Fatima was going on her tution classes with her sister on scooty.
When the sisters reached Mahmoorganj area of the city, they had to stop their bike as the patchwork of road was going on. It is crucial to mention that ahead of Yogi’s visit, roads to those routes were being patched within hours through which Yogi would supposedly pass.
Alina asked the workers to stop patching to let her pass, but workers did not stop as their contractor denied.
However, when both sisters tried to pass anyway, someone from the workers threw hot and boiling coal-tar at Alina Fatima. Alina started crying and screaming at the very instant.
Locals intervened into the matter, and few of them beat the accused. By the time police arrived at the scene and send the girls for the first aid.
Alina’s father Mashahar Hussain informed that government hospital denied the treatment as Alina’s skin was stuck with tar and gravels. She was transferred to a private facility for further treatment.
Moreover, the locals are blaming city administration for carrying out last hour patchwork, that too in times of peak traffic.
Police has arrested workers and they are charged with section 326 of IPC. The case is pending for further investigation.
