AIMIM releases the first list of candidates for Maharashtra Assembly Election

Maharashtra Assembly elections will be conducted in the next couple of months. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) have announced that they will contest separately in the assembly elections.

The AIMIM has released the first candidates’ list for Maharashtra declaring the names of three candidates from Pune, Nanded, and Malegaon. Daniel Ramesh Landge from Vadgaonsheri area in Pune, Mufti Mohammed Ismail Abdul Khaliq from Central area Malegaon, District Nashik, and Mohammed Feroz Khan Lala from the northern part of Nanded city.

The candidate list has been released on the AIMIM letterhead under the sign of Syed Imtiaz Jaleel (Member of Parliament, Aurangabad-Maharashtra). Imtiaz Jaleel visited Malegaon last week where he announced Mufti Ismail Qasmi as the AIMIM candidate name from Nanded.

Mufti Ismail Qasmi had earlier won the assembly elections in the year 2009 as an Independent candidate and had also contested from NCP party in 2014 but lost the seat to Congress candidate, Asif Shaikh.

Ramesh Landge is a social activist and wife Ashwini Landge is a local Municipal member from the AIMIM party.
