Jammu : The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed for traffic Wednesday due to landslides in Ramban district.
Landslides hit the highway at Tringla area in Ramban, blocking the highway, official sources said adding the road has also sunk near Ramban.
Two-three vehicles were trapped in the landslides and efforts were being made by the Border Road Organisation to pull out the trucks from the area.
Over 500 vehicles were stranded on the highway.
