Reconciliation with PML-Q depends on admission of mistakes: Nawaz Sharif

Islamabad : PML-N Quaid Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that reconciliation could only be possible with PML-Q if it admits its mistakes for the sake of nation and the country.

In an interview with a private television channel, he said PML-N cannot support dictatorial regime. Mian Nawaz Sharif said we want restoration of 1973 constitution and can’t accept the dictators.

To a question, he said the issue of Kalabagh Dam and the problems of smaller provinces could be resolved through talks.

He said politicians understand the problems in a better way than the Generals. He said in the past, Mujibur Rehman was declared as traitor, but after disintegration of the country, he was released.

Nawaz Sharif said that the rulers have failed to protect the integrity of the country.

To another question regarding cooperation with USA against terrorism, he said Parliament is the sole forum to take decision. He said the operations continue in the country due to stubbornness of Pervez Musharraf.

He said the problems which could be resolved through negotiations are being dealt with resorting force and innocent and children have been killed in Lal Masjid.

He said despite three wars with India, Kashmir issue could not be resolved and we lost East Pakistan .

He said Lahore declaration signed by the two countries paved way for the resolution of all issues including Kashmir through talks.

He said after 9/11, Musharraf had not consulted with the Parliament.

Responding to a question, he said PML-N will support PPP in the Centre without power sharing and modalities are being chalked out.

He said we would only support democracy. He said if Musharraf quits than PML-N will consider to share power with PPP.

Nawaz Sharif said that he has no contact with MQM, agencies and the military as they are the beneficiaries of the past.

He said PML-N has reservations regarding their attitude.
