The Tripura cabinet headed by Chief minister Manik Sarkar Tuesday has recommended to the governor dissolution of the ninth Tripura Assembly to avoid constitutional crisis.
“According to the constitutional provisions, the next session of the tenth Tripura assembly has to be started March 10 and this is not possible as the counting of votes would be done March 7. After that, following some formalities, the new assembly would be constituted,” Sarkar told IANS.
