Sydney : Pakistan will make up for the postponement of the Australia’s scheduled tour in March by hosting Bangladesh next month.
Bangladesh have agreed to play five one-dayers and a Twenty20 match April 6-22, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said Tuesday.
Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) chief operating officer Shafqat Naghmi also told reporters the board was holding talks about hosting a one-day series with Sri Lanka in April and May.
“They (Sri Lanka) are keen to come and help us out,” Naghmi was quoted as saying in The Daily Telegraph.
“We are confident of finalising the itinerary shortly.”
Australia postponed their tour because of security concerns in Pakistan.
Bangladesh are to play their first two games in Lahore followed by matches in Multan, Faisalabad and Karachi.
The Twenty20 game will also take place in Karachi.
