Gandhinagar : The Gujarat government has removed the hurdles in the path of public welfare initiatives, Chief Minister Narendra Modi told a budget implementation workshop of his cabinet colleagues and senior officials here Monday.
He said welfare measures are similar to water conservation in ponds. “We have to ensure that the water is of good quality and that there isn’t any delay in benefits of budgeted schemes reaching people,” he said.
The workshop had presentations on tourism, Nirmal Gujarat, e-governance, urban development, E-Gram-Vishva Gram, climate change and other issues amid discussions by the senior ministers and bureaucrats.
