London : Russian star Maria Sharapova's newest Wimbledon tennis fashion theme is the "swan-look," characterised by a willowy white dress.
The 20-year-old former champion's outfit features wing-like frills down the back, producing a stylised feathered effect.
Sharapova is more than pleased with her latest designer offering: "I think the end result made it look more like a swan. Even on a hanger, it doesn't look as swannish as it does on me."
The Russian does have a small concern that her avian theme could unwittingly put her at risk for the trained hawk which patrols Centre Court each morning to scare off pesky pigeons.
"Does the hawk usually bite the swan? Jesus, I might have to cut those pleats away," she joked.

Loose-lips Lundgren handed two-month leave of absence
Peter Lundgren, former coach of Roger Federer and Marat Safin, has been suspended by Britain's Lawn Tennis Association after a word-slurring performance at a coaching clinic last weekend.
The Swede who coaches the British Davis Cup squad was stood down from his 100,000-pound ($ 200,000) per year position by LTA boss Roger Draper, after reports said 300 attendees at the meeting were surprised by Lundgren's embarrassing gaffe before a scheduled question and answer session.
Lundgren is part of a multi-million-pound revamp of the coaching scheme at the cash-rich federation designed to drag British tennis to world-class status.
Among those on the high-powered payroll: Americans Brad Gilbert and Paul Annacone, coaches respectively of Andy Murray and Tim Henman.
Lundgren was sent on a two-month leave of absence after reports said he had to be helped off the stage.
He is due to be back – presumably chastened – in time for Britain's tie in September against Croatia at Wimbledon. His contract calls for 15 weeks of coaching plus Davis Cup duties.
In a statement, the LTA said: "Peter Lundgren is on a leave of absence for personal reasons and we look forward to him returning ahead of the Davis Cup tie in September."
