Lawmen in 5th district say elections organized thanks to Interior Ministry’s efforts

Kuwait : Judges and counselors in Manqaf, fifth constituency, agreed Saturday that voting was taking place in an organized manner thanks to the efforts of Interior Ministry personnel at polling stations.

Head of the main committee at Manqaf Elementary School for Girls, Counselor Adel Al-Failkawi, told KUNA that the voting process kicked off early this morning and would continue to 8:00 p.m., with voters entering and exiting in a uniform manner and with no problems.

Voters inside the gates of the polling stations at the time that the door closes will be given the opportunity to cast ballots, no matter how long this takes, he added.

Asked whether the counting will take place at the committee, he said that that was the case.

On his part, Counselor Sayed Arafat Al-Sayed said female voters enjoyed a high level of political awareness, adding that supervisors at the committees were assisting the female voters here to get to their electoral committees, which were distributed according to alphabetical order.

Meanwhile Counselor Mubarak Al-Snafi, at Yaseen Al-Tabtabaei Middle School for Boys, said that the turnout was good so far and that those with special needs were given priority and allowed to cast their ballots immediately.

As for Counselor Miteb Al-Ardhi, he said that the elections were running smoothly, lauding the efforts of the Interior Ministry in this regard.
