Ahmedabad : City-based home linen producer Pradip Overseas Ltd (POL) Friday launched American brand Lucy B Linen in the fast-emerging domestic textile market.
Under the brand name, POL will manufacture the entire range of home textile products like bed sheets, pillow covers, curtains, cushions, towels, napkins and quilts. The distribution of the products in the domestic market would be managed by CA Patel Textile Pvt Ltd (CAP), said POL director J.S. Negi.
The total current domestic market of home linen products is estimated at Rs.84 billion and it is expected to grow at nine percent per annum, POL chairman Pradip Karia has said.
“As a marketing agency, we will make sure that all the product are easily available in the country. All leading stores of the metros and big cities will have our product range,” said CAP managing director Mukesh Patel.
“This is a US brand and we have exclusive marketing rights in India. We are not importing and selling but we are manufacturing the same,” said Karia. He added that the brand name has been given under an exclusive rights agreement.
