Nagpur : Two workers in an oxygen bottling plant here died from severe burn injuries they suffered in a powerful blast, the police said Saturday.
The accidental explosion occurred in the Rainbow Oxygen Pvt Ltd plant in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corp area past Friday midnight when workers Arvind Jaiswal and Ajay Tripathi were filling an oxygen cylinder, police inspector Iqbal Sayyed told IANS.
The workers, who sustained over 90 percent burn injuries, died early Saturday at the Government Medical College Hospital. So powerful was the blast that the roof of the plant was blown up.
