Sana’a : Prime Minister Ali Mujawar accentuated Saturday that Arab nation can only encounter the soaring food prices through Arab integration to reach the Arab food security and realise self-sufficiency, Yemen News Agency (SABA) reported.
Mujawar affirmed in his speech delivered in the opening ceremony of the 17th Technical Conference of the Arab Agricultural Engineers Union, that the Arab cooperation is the best solution to benefit from the Arab world’s powers on the light of the food crisis the whole World is facing.
The conference should discuss vital issues concerning the reality of Arab food safety and challenges, the premier said.
Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Mnsour al-Hawshabi indicated to the importance of the conference that would discuss the organic agriculture and food safety in the Arab world.
The Union’s Secretary General Yahya Bakour affirmed that the conference comes as apart of a series of technical conferences that aim to enhance the Arab integration and raise level of economic cooperation.
He called on establishing an Arab Customs Union and Arab joint market that would assist in achieving the Arab economic union.
