Lexington (Kentucky) : India’s Somdev Devvarman and his American partner Rylan Rizza went down fighting to Dominican Republic’s Victor Estrella and Mexican Santiago Gonzalez in the opening round of the $50,000 ATP Challenger here.
Estrella-Santiago bested the Indo-American pair in the super-tiebreak 6-2, 3-6, 10-6 at the hard court event Tuesday.
They now advance to meet second seeds Harel Levy of Israel and American Jim Thomas who beat qualifiers Canadian Bruno Gostinelli and American Bradley Cox 6-4, 6-2.
