Islamabad : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said the Benazir Shaheed Income Support Programme would provide relief to the “poorest of the poor” and the down-trodden section of the society.
He was chairing a special meeting on Benazir Shaheed Income Support Programme at the PM House, which was also attended by Minister for Finance Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Shahnaz Wazir Ali, and Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Salman Farooqi.
The meeting deliberated on the modalities of the programme so as to facilitate maximum number of the poor.
