New Delhi: The Delhi state unit of the AMU Old Boys Association has intensified its campaign to provide photo ID to all ex-students of Aligarh Muslim University who are living in Delhi.
The association is holding camps in different areas for the purpose. All members will be given life membership of the association. Each new entrant will be charged Rs 500 as fee for life membership. Old annual membership is now being turned into life membership.
While the decision was taken much earlier, it was not implemented fully. Now the state association leaders, president Safdar Hussain Khan and general secretary Fasihullah Khan have made the campaign a priority.
Among the renowned personalities who are members of the association are Vice President Hamid Ansari, Union minister Ali Ashraf Fatmi and senior Congress leader Mohsina Kidwai.
