Islamabad : Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri on Thursday strongly condemned the statements of the American presidential candidates about attacks on the Islam’s Holy Places and described these types of people as insane.
Winding up debate on the Foreign Policy in the National Assembly Mr.
Kasuri called upon the U.S Congress and other parliaments of the world to bring legislation to safeguard the religious sentiments of all communities.
He also called upon the U.S Congress to take notice of these irresponsible statements as Muslims could never tolerate these nonsense.
He said Muslims all over the world are united to safeguard their holy places and no one can cast an evil eye on our holy places.
He said the US presidential campaign should be run by focusing on Pakistan and the US Congress should take notice of it.
Kasuri said there is no safe heaven for the terrorists at Pakistani soil saying Pakistan will never allow any country to attack inside Pakistan and no one can have unilateral action inside Pakistani territory.
He said Pakistan army is fully capable to tackle the problem of terrorism and will take action whenever necessary.
Kasuri said Pakistan could not accept unilateral US legislation imposing conditions on Pakistan for assistance and described this piece of legislation as counter productive.
This law has divided public opinion in Pakistan and called upon the United States to withdraw this law.
It has been made clear to the United States that it is a discriminatory law and can harm our relations with it.
He said Pakistan is working to bring peace and stability in the region but it cannot allow any country to impose its will or interfere in our internal affairs as it is determined to safeguard its sovereignty at all costs.
