The envoy Monday stressed that the team has technical, legal and political experts, news agency IRNA said.

The team led by the IAEA Safeguards Chief Olli Heinonen is to visit Iran Wednesday for discussions on how to resolve Tehran's disputed nuclear activities.

Soltaniyeh said the agency director for safeguards operations Herman Nackartes, the IAEA Legal Advisor Johan Rautenbach and director in charge of the agency's external relations and policy coordinator Vilmos Cxerveny will be the other members of the IAEA team.

The delegation will discuss a modality and framework to settle issues on Iran's "peaceful nuclear case", Soltaniyeh added.

He said the delegation was not to make any inspection (of Iran's nuclear installations) and would only hold talks with the Iranian officials.

The IAEA delegation is likely to meet secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani on issues related to Iran's nuclear programme, he said.

Foreign ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini had said Sunday the July 11 visit by the IAEA team to Iran is the most important issue at the nuclear talks.

He told reporters that Tehran and the IAEA were expected to cooperate on drawing up a modality on how to settle the issues within two months.

He added that the negotiations between Tehran and the IAEA would be within the framework of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
