New Delhi : " I am aware of the problems of Muslims and the Government is going to take necessary steps to ensure the welfare of the Muslim community," said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while speaking to a Muslim delegation.
The Muslim delegation lead by Khalil Ansari, General Secretary of the Bihar Congress Committee, met with the Prime Minister and concentrated his attention towards the insecurity of the Muslim community and stressed the need to take steps towards this issue accordingly.
According to the delegation, the Prime Minister is serious on this matter and has assured that the Government will take steps to overcome this problem.
Mr. Khalil Ansari handed over a reminder to the Prime Minister which describes the pitiable condition of the Congress Committee in Bihar in addition to the problems of Muslims. Drawing the PM's attention towards the pathetic condition of the Congress in Bihar, he has also submitted his plan to uplift its condition in the state.
Former MLA, Mr Khalil Ansari said – pointing to the insufficient contribution of Muslims in Congress – that it is very important to include Muslims in Congress to make it a perfect public representative party.
Chairman of Indian Institute of Human Studies, Dr Habibur Rahman, President of Bihar Utthan Manch, Md Ashraf Ali and Mr Saifullah were among the prominent attendees of the delegation team.
