The prison administration will allow the man to meet his wife in private four times a month, the report added.

The groom is due to be executed by decapitation, based on the Islamic Sharia law, applied in Saudi Arabia, after three years.

Okaz quoted the groom as saying the wedding ceremony would be held in two parts, one at a hall near his house in the presence of family and friends, and the other at the prison with his fellow prisoners.

The prison has prepared a small celebration as well as an apartment behind bars where the couple can meet.

The groom, meanwhile, has expressed his wish that the family of the person he killed would pardon him when its youngest member reaches the age of 21 after three years.

The bride’s father has called on other fathers to marry their daughters to prisoners, recommending some of his fellows, especially those pending execution within 15 years.
